Rishi Desai

MD, MPH

Dr. Rishi Desai, MD, MPH, is a dedicated pediatric infectious disease physician and a leader in health education who currently serves as the Medical Innovation Team Lead at Diffusion Studios. His academic journey began with an accelerated education at UCLA, where he earned a BS in icrobiology and Molecular Genetics by age 18 before completing medical training at UCSF and an MPH in pidemiology. Throughout his career, he has held impactful roles at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer and previously led the medical team at Khan Academy. Dr. Desai is also an active clinician in the telemedicine space through AmWell and has contributed to medical education for over 900,000 students and clinicians worldwide. Beyond his professional achievements, he enjoys spending time with his family, learning Dutch, and engaging in public health outreach.
