Laís de Holanda Junqueira is an executive at Elsevier, based in Amsterdam, where she leads global strategies in Quality, Patient Safety, and Innovation for health systems.

With a career defined by the integration of scientific knowledge, technology, and cultural transformation, Laís serves as a strategic advisor to healthcare institutions worldwide, guiding the adoption of evidence-based solutions that strengthen safety culture and empower healthcare professionals. She leads the pioneering GenAI Academy for Health, a program that prepares institutions and clinical leaders for the ethical and safe use of generative artificial intelligence in healthcare. She also coordinates the Zero Harm Program in Latin America and the Middle East, in partnership with The Joint Commission International, aimed at accelerating the implementation of safe and sustainable practices to reduce preventable harm.

Laís is a member of the Scientific Council of the Brazilian Society for Quality of Care and Patient Safety (SOBRASP), where she also participates in the Diversity & Equity Task Force and the Emerging Diseases Task Force. She is the founder of the Pausa pro Café podcast, focused on sharing best practices in healthcare quality and patient safety. She is an honorary member of the Patient Safety Foundation in Chile, an associate member of the International Association of Innovation Professionals (IAOIP), a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, and holds an MBA in Healthcare Management and Innovation.
